Myocardial infarction is otherwise known as Heart attack. The death of the heart muscle due to the sudden blockage of coronary artery caused by a blood clot is termed as myocardial infarction or heart attack. Blockage of artery leads to complete deprivation blood to heart muscle resulting injury to heart. There are two types of risk factor for heart which include Inherited or genetic factor and Acquired factors. Some of the inherited risk factor include the person’s having high blood pressure, those who have low level of HDL or high levels of LDL blood cholesterol, persons with a family history of heart disease, aging in men and women etc. The persons those who are at the acquired risk of heart attack include high level of LDL and low level of HDL, people who have lot of stress, cigarette smokers, people living a sedentary lifestyle and persons who overweight by 30 percent or more.
