The first step in the sun salutation is to stand with both feet touching the ground and the hands should be put together palm to palm like offering a prayer to the god and start exhaling. Step two is to raise the arms upward and should slowly bend backward, stretching the arms above the head. Now the neck should be relaxed and start inhaling. In the step three, we should slowly bend forward until our hands are in line with our feet, and our head should be touching our knees.
You can try sun salutation for depression even if you are Bupropion or other medications. Sun salutations have different results when done during different times in the day, you got to discuss them with your tutor. Sun salutation can also help with weight loss when followed with appropriate diet plans.
The palms should be touching the fingertips in the toes and touch the floor. In this step the pressure will be mostly on the calf muscles of the leg and we also some pressure in the hip portion as we bend. These strengths the muscles of the legs by stretching it and also in the reduction of tummy due to pressure in the hip while bending.
The fourth step would be to move the right leg back behind the body in a wide lunge. As we start inhaling, our hands should be kept on the ground where the left foot in in-between the both hands. And start raising the head. This again helps in the stretching of the leg muscles. In the fifth step, both the right and left foot should be brought together. The sixth step is push up.
We should lower the body, resting on our forearms and start exhaling. Seventh step involves the lowering of the pelvis to the ground and raising the head and bending backwards as much as possible, while straightening the arms. In the eight steps, hips should be raised, keeping the arms straight on the floor.
Take a wide forward step by bending the right leg with the hands firmly on ground in the ninth step. In the tenth step bring the both legs together in standing position and the still bending down with hands touching the ground. Rise slowly by straightening the back into the standing pose and should bend backward with stretched arms and should start inhaling. Return to the first position and end with an exhalation. |
